Frequently asked questions
For guests
Tickets, organizers, refunds, and waivers.
Your tickets are in your confirmation email: QR codes plus a printable PDF, with Apple Wallet or Google Wallet buttons where available.
If you have an account with the same email you booked with, sign in and open My tickets. There is no public ticket lookup, so if the email is missing, search your inbox and spam folder for the organizer’s name, then contact the organizer if you still can’t find it.
Use the organizer’s contact details in your confirmation email.
If you have an account, you can also open the booking in My tickets and choose Message Host, if the organizer offers messaging; replies appear in Messages. The organizer is the right contact for session details, changes to your booking, and refunds.
Contact the organizer who sold your tickets.
They handle refunds under their own policy. Their contact details are in your confirmation email, and with an account you can also message them from your booking if they offer messaging. For refunds you request, the ticket price and any tax are usually returned and the Ticketing Fee generally is not. If the organizer cancels or the experience doesn’t happen, the refund includes the Ticketing Fee.
No. You can book as a guest without creating an account.
An account is optional: it keeps your tickets and past orders in one place, and lets you message the organizer from your booking if they offer messaging.
If the organizer requires a waiver, you’ll get a link to sign it after checkout.
Everyone in your party should sign before arrival. Organizers can see who has signed before the session.
Open Experience Support chat, ask your question, and choose Talk to a person, or email support@mythicexperiences.com.
Experience Support gives automated answers from our FAQ and guides. Talk to a person sends your chat to the Mythic Experiences team, and we email you when someone replies. For a specific booking, such as times, changes, or refunds, contact the organizer first because they run the experience.
Fees & payments
The Ticketing Fee, Booking Balance, and how venues get paid.
Paid bookings include a Ticketing Fee: card processing plus Mythic Experiences’ $0.99 platform service on each ticket.
Experience add-ons don’t carry the $0.99. The $0.99 also applies to $0-ticket bookings and complimentary (comp) tickets: guests pay nothing for those, and the venue covers the $0.99 from Booking Balance. Taxes, when they apply, show separately. Checkout requires at least one ticket.
Guests pay it by default on paid card bookings, and you can switch to host absorbs.
When you absorb the fee on a card sale with a ticket subtotal over $1.00, it comes out of the sale, and guests pay the ticket price plus tax if you collect it. When there’s no guest card charge to take it from, Mythic Experiences’ $0.99 per ticket comes from Booking Balance instead: $0 tickets, complimentary tickets, cash sales your venue covers, and host-absorbed card sales of $1.00 or less.
On guest-paid card bookings, checkout sizes the Ticketing Fee from configured card rates plus Mythic Experiences’ $0.99 platform service on each ticket, so you generally receive the ticket price and any tax you collect.
Experience add-ons don’t carry the $0.99. When guests pay, listings show an all-in From price for one ticket before tax. When you absorb the fee, listings show From plus the ticket price. Checkout shows one Ticketing Fee line for the order. Processing, Booking Balance, and refund details live in Terms §4–§5.
Booking Balance is prepaid credit your venue keeps on Mythic Experiences to pay the $0.99 per ticket when it isn’t collected on a guest’s card.
That covers $0-ticket bookings, complimentary tickets, cash sales your venue covers, and host-absorbed card sales of $1.00 or less. If the balance runs too low, $0 checkouts can’t complete until you add funds. Manual top-ups are one-time payments. Optional auto-reload only turns on after you review and approve the amount and the $5 balance trigger. You can turn it off, add funds, or request a refund of unused balance from Dashboard → Payments. Full rules: Terms §4.
Ticket money goes to your own Stripe account through Stripe Connect, and your venue is the merchant of record for its tickets.
Connecting Stripe is required on Free and Mythic Operations to publish and take bookings, including $0 tickets. Separately, if you choose Mythic Operations, Mythic Innovations LLC bills the software subscription in your dashboard. Those are two different things.
Running your events
Setup, door check-in, and cost estimates.
Onboarding is a setup checklist inside your venue dashboard.
It walks you through getting ready to sell: location, experience, calendar, and payments. Open it from Dashboard → Organization → Onboarding. Experience Support, the help chat, answers questions; it is not the checklist.
Admissions is check-in and Box office is walk-up sales.
Both live under Door in your venue dashboard. Use Admissions to scan or look up tickets as guests arrive, and Box office to sell remaining spots when someone shows up without a ticket.
Yes, on the web Door page.
Save a guest list for the session and keep checking people in if the connection drops. When you’re back online, check-ins sync. If you run several doors and need them to stay in sync on local Wi‑Fi, there is an advanced hub option on the web Door tools. It is not a phone app hub today.
Cost estimates let you enter typical monthly costs by location, such as labor, facilities, and marketing, so Advisor can estimate contribution.
They are included on Mythic Operations; open Cost estimates in your dashboard. Optional extras can sit on an experience or a specific session. They are your estimates, not tax books, so double-check before big decisions.
Plans, Advisor & credits
Free, Mythic Operations, and optional add-ons.
Free costs $0/month and is real ticketing for a small start: 1 location, 1 concurrently active experience (inactive or archived experiences do not count), unlimited sessions for that experience, unlimited bookings, and one team seat (you, the owner).
Guest checkout, QR tickets, web door check-in, and the four Essential website widgets are included. To publish and take bookings, including $0 tickets, you still connect Stripe. Upgrade to Mythic Operations ($49.99/month or $490/year) when you need unlimited active experiences, team seats, full branding, and operations tools.
No. Free is the $0/month software plan for your venue.
Free admission means a $0 ticket price, which you can offer on Free or Mythic Operations. $0 tickets still need Stripe connected, and each one still incurs Mythic Experiences’ $0.99 platform service, which your venue pays from Booking Balance by default.
No. Bookings are unlimited on Free and Mythic Operations.
The plans differ by locations, concurrently active experiences, team seats, and tools, not by how many bookings you sell. Inactive or archived experiences do not count toward the active-experience limit. Mythic Experiences does not sell “extra booking packs.”
Advisor shows Event Health insights in your dashboard — fill, sales pace, and related signals.
Event Health is included on Mythic Operations. Generative marketing uses Advisor + AI Marketing Studio, an optional add-on for active Mythic Operations subscribers only at $19/month or $190/year (pay for 10 months, get 12 when billed annually). Free cannot purchase the add-on. Mythic Operations includes Marketing Studio Essentials (templates and scheduling) but not generative AI. Experience Support is support chat, not Advisor.
Advisor + AI Marketing Studio grants 800 credits each month, or 9,600 when you pay annually (pay for 10 months, get 12 when billed annually).
Credits carry forward and do not expire. Refills are $10 for 400, $25 for 1,100, or $50 for 2,500 — you approve each refill; there are no surprise overages. Credits are not unlimited. If you cancel the add-on, unused credits remain and generative AI stays paused until the add-on is active again. Event Health, Experience Support, and Marketing Studio Essentials do not use these credits.
Yes, lightly. Paying venues can share a referral code from Billing.
When a referred venue grows enough (a Mythic Operations subscription, a published public experience, and a handful of paid bookings), you can earn credit. Details live on your Billing page.
